it was an enjoyable stay during our entire north island road trip. the location was central, perfect in hawkes' bay.
The staff were quite uninterested, didn't expect that coming.

Whole place was clean with pleasant views; great location in the center of town. Location just off cafes and retail as well as Porters & Havelock North for one night. Extremely spacious and impressive room with exceptionally comfortable bed and smoke detectors for safety measures. A wide range of supplies in the room: central heating, a private safe, and multi-channel TV. Had helpful service. Free Wi-Fi and fast check in.
Unattentive staff!

This boutique hotel in the heart of a charming small town exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail was impeccable, from the tasteful decor to the comfortable bed. The hotel's central location allowed for easy access to numerous excellent cafes and restaurants. The staff were professional, pleasant, and matched the quality of the hotel.
No major issues, everything was great.

This hotel is a hidden gem in a delightful small town. The location couldn't be better, right in the center with excellent cafes around. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a few little extras that make the stay special. The staff are friendly and attentive, making sure everything is just right.
All was fine, no issues to mention.

Spent the New Year at a boutique hotel. The location was great with several dining options nearby. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and included a TV with great viewing angles. The bed was comfortable with soft linen. Underfloor heating in the bathroom was a plus and there was an ample supply of tea and coffee in the room.
While the decor was tasteful, it lacked the character one would expect from a boutique hotel. The bathroom had only one towel each, and there was no information about the local area.

Location of the hotel was convenient and close to all the shops, restaurants, and wineries around the area. the room and bathroom were nicely decorated and comfortable. the service was excellent, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast in the bistro was delicious, and the coffee was great.
The lack of amenities such as a gym, pool, or sauna was disappointing for the price paid.

My recent stay at Porters Boutique was fantastic. The room was beautifully designed with thoughtful touches like double sinks, a spacious shower, and a heated floor in the bathroom. I was impressed with the attention to detail, such as the nice cutlery and breakfast bowls conveniently located in the drawers. The bedroom was well-laid out and included chairs, a table, and a sliding door to a balcony. The overall sense of luxury and the good air conditioning made my stay very comfortable. The location of the hotel was also excellent, with many shops and restaurants within walking distance.
Although my stay was overall great, I did experience one minor drawback. The parking system was a bit odd, as there appeared to be plenty of room in the garage but I had to go back to reception a couple of times to find a "marked" spot.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
